The Telecommunications Board of Northern Kentucky was created by the fiscal courts of Boone and Kenton Counties in association with 20 participating local governments.  TBNK's primary responsibilty is regulating Northern Kentucky's cable television franchise agreement with INSIGHT, and protecting the rights of our citizens to ensure cost effective access to the cable medium. If you have a unresolved issue with Insight Communications and live in Kenton or Boone Counties, contact the TBNK through email, fax or telephone.
The Board is made up of representatives from each government entity and has inherited its responsibilities from the former Office of Kenton/Boone Cable Communications. As a condition of the cable franchise agreement with INSIGHT, TBNK absorbed local access operations and created the Community Program Center to oversee the operation of  seven (7) cable access television channels and a first-class production facility.   The Community Program Center gives our citizens a chance to create and air television programming reflecting the flavor of Northern Kentucky. These seven channels respresent our area's Public, Educational and Government cable access or PEG.
